great location, but lacks modern amenities
The location is unbeatable! It's right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore. The bed in my room was surprisingly comfortable, allowing for a good night's sleep.
The hotel felt outdated, reminding me of East Berlin in the 70s.

We explored the Culture Square and the National Museum, both just a short walk away. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. Staff were super friendly and made our stay enjoyable! 10/10 would recommend!
The coffee pot in our room wasn't cleaned properly from the previous guest. It was a bit disappointing, but it didn't ruin our trip.

The King Room was super cozy and welcoming, just the right vibe for a good night's sleep. Loved the charming decor and comfortable bedding. It felt spacious enough, and the overall design is nice and modern. The only bummer was that the coffee pot wasn’t cleaned right from the last guest, which was a little disappointing. But it didn’t ruin my stay at all!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Curio Collection in San Jose. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. My room was spacious and beautifully decorated, making it a cozy retreat after a day of exploring the city. The breakfast was impressive, with various options that included local favorites and international dishes. I loved starting my day with that view from the top floor! However, I ran into a couple of issues. The coffee pot in my room wasn't cleaned properly from the previous guest, which was disappointing. Additionally, the water pressure in the shower was a little weak. But those quirks didn't overshadow the positive vibes of my visit. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for its charm and helpful staff.

I indulged in some tasty local bites at nearby spots like Cultura5 and Spoon. The Gran's facilities were top-notch, and the staff, especially Johanna and Jason, made me feel right at home during my solo adventure! The rooms were cozy, perfectly blending comfort and style.
We had a hiccup checking in after our long flight, waiting 45 minutes for a room while they sorted out credit card issues. It was a rough start, but the charm of San Jose kept our spirits up!
